Driving Tests

Woo Hoo, you have reached the point where you are ready to take the test. We don’t agree with just getting you to a level to pass your test; we want to teach you the skills that may save your life on the road. 

You can take the practical driving test in an instructors car or your own car. Driving examiners do not supply vehicles. When  using your own vehicle it must be roadworthy, clean and tidy. The registered owners consent is also needed for you to use that vehicle. Roadworthy means all the lights  must be working correctly, tyres must be within legal limits, demisters, windows and wipers must be fully working. Washers must be full of water. If the vehicle is deemed un roadworthy by the examiner you will be unable to take your test and will have to rebook. Who wants to wait again? To avoid this unfortunate event, please check your vehicle well in advance and rectify any issues. KCH vehicles are checked regularly and before every test. If you would like to use our vehicle please check with your instructor when booking that they are available. Students booked in already will take priority. We do offer an additional service of booking the test for you at an additional cost. Pleas click on the package with the TMR test fee added if you would like this option. 

We teach school-aged people, but also lots of individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s who have only recently developed the need or urge to drive. Some students just want to refresh their skills. 

Through our unique approach and desire to stay up-to-date with new driving education techniques, we make lessons relevant, useful and fun.

On the test day, the examiners all know you are a little anxious, this is quite normal as it would be for any test or examination. Kirsty will not say you are ready to go and do the practical test unless you have the ability to pass and pass well. If you are prepared, you should pass easily but nerves can creep in. Kirsty will keep these to a minimum and the lesson before your test is a good time to focus and concentrate on helping you be as relaxed as possible.
